Science for everyone
Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields are central to solving the biggest challenges facing the world today. While the need for a STEM workforce is expanding, access to careers in STEM studies is often not equitable.
The Science Research Apprenticeship Program (SRAP) at the University of Wyoming offers underrepresented minorities and first-generation students opportunities to participate in scientific research. Over the course of 6 weeks, the students are given the chance to work with university mentors on research projects and present their results to their peers, all well getting a real college experience.
The SRAP programs shows that science truly is for everyone.
